Kuvasz are strong willed and independent. Kuvasz need a large yard or some acreage on which to roam.

    The Kuvasz is thought to have been brought into Hungary by Turkish refugees from the Mongols in 1200 A.D. King Matyas I was a Turkish king in the late 1400s who did not trust people, only his Kuvasz. Kuvasz puppies who are allowed to play too roughly may be prone to develop bone problems later in life.
