    Kuvasz Dogs can make good pets in Kyrgyzstan if they match your IifestyIe. The Kuvasz is an incredibly smart herder and livestock guard. The Kuvasz makes a great guard dog. The Kuvasz is very loyal and intuitive. This breed is usually great with family children with whom it is socialized but not with strange kids. Kuvasz need owners who are experienced and in control. Kuvasz are strong willed and independent. Kuvasz need a large yard or some acreage on which to roam.

    The Kuvasz is thought to have been brought into Hungary by Turkish refugees from the Mongols in 1200 A.D. Kuvasz is the Turkish word for protector. King Matyas I was a Turkish king in the late 1400s who did not trust people, only his Kuvasz. The Kuvasz may date back to dogs owned by nomadic Tibetan tribes around 2000 B.C. Kuvasz puppies who are allowed to play too roughly may be prone to develop bone problems later in life.
